no excuses for writing after so long but it was a long trip back to delhi and then california that prompted the delay and i guess i can be pardoned for taking such a long blog break. afterall its important to experience life before we can truly write about it. isn’t it? yes and after this wonderful, memorable break which has changed my life 360 degrees, i feel truly blessed.
meeting old friends, some long lost ones specially has set me on a path of rediscovering myself. but the primary reason for this hullabaloo is the start of a new journey. a journey that has been beckoning me for a while now and had made me restless.the call of my soul if i were to define it in words and this calling has illuminated my world down to every nook and corner.
the launch of my first novel in delhi…a dream nourished relentlessly and pursued passionately. when i cast a look at the published book for the first time and felt it in my hands, believe me it was like holding my baby for the first time. no experience comes close to it and i knew it was the beginning of a new life for me.
the last almost 3 months have been a roller coaster ride which has left me barely on ground . the trip to california was a delightful one.the sight and smell of a new place is surely intoxicating. the feel of a fresh environ stimulates creativity no doubt and i have come back richer- in experience.
joy,happiness,madness,ecstasy…i can call it by any name but being in delhi was like getting back to my roots and realising how much i missed it back in muscat. the place has amazing energy and the energy gets enhanced and more potent when you have your close friends to share your life with.
i am still on cloud nine after being back to muscat but the aftertaste of what i experienced in delhi clings to my senses like honey on tongue, refusing to leave easily. its as if the world has opened up in front of me and so has my heart. its a seamless feeling of being closer to God and nothing can pull me away from it.
as i relish the bliss of being noticed for my book and delve deeper into writing my second book which is another path to discovering a part of me , i can’t help but wondering whether places have energy of their own that keeps you connected to them forever.
